YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
DO YOU PROVIDE CONSULTATIONS BEFORE WE DECIDE ON AN AGENCY?
Yes! One of our nurses will come to your home for a complimentary Health & Safety Assessment. This is when you and your family may ask as many questions as you like, discuss services and scheduling, and agree on a rate.
DO YOU ACCEPT LONG TERM CARE INSURANCE?
Yes! We are happy to work with you and your insurance company representative to assist in getting claims filed and paid according to your Long Term Care policy.
Please note that the Guarantor on the contract for services is ultimately responsible for full payment if the insurance company delays payment and/or denies a claim for any reason.
HOW DO I KNOW I CAN TRUST THE PERSON COMING INTO MY HOME?
All of our caregivers are registered with the State of California Home Care Aide Registry, and must renew their registration every two years per the state's requirements. This ensures fingerprinting and background checks are kept current. In addition, A Better Choice requires a clean driving record from the DMV, proof of insurance, and a negative TB test result every two years during their employment.
WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF HAVING LICENSED NURSES ON STAFF?
Even people using non-medical services typically have underlying medical conditions. Nurse trained care managers are better equipped to look out for and assist with these issues than someone with no medical background. A nurse can accompany the client to doctor appointments, ask important questions, and provide useful and thorough updates to the client's family.
